About
Hi, this is my blog for all sorts of pro-life news, statistics, stories, and personal ventings. I am a wife and mother, as well as a nursing student. I I truly believe that abortion has failed women, and will continue to do so as long as it is legal.

Childfree rage against...Themselves?

I just realized something about the childfree movement.

In all of their fervor of berating "breeders" for not instilling responsibility in their "spawns", they have somehow missed the fact that they themselves seem lacking in the same skill.

I was reading the snide writings of a "childfree" individual who was furious at the parents who do not raise their children to be responsible citizens. In the next breath she talked about how sex does not require that one be open to the responsibility of pregnancy.

Perhaps these people should take a look at their own battle with responsibility before pointing a finger at the little girl who lost her doll.

  • haha. Sorry I just got so frustrated with the pro-choice childfree crowd complaining about everyone else's irresponsibity while they fight to the death for their own right to be irresponsible!

I would like to read the context of how this person's words were interpreted by the author of this blog. Can you provide a link so I and others can see exactly what was said and make up my own mind?

  • So what you're saying is that a person who decides they don't want to have children, for whatever reason (and yes, there are plenty of reasons even YOU would consider acceptable) should also be required to give up sex for the duration of their life? My best friend is a severe diabetic, if she were to carry a pregnancy to term it would most likely kill her. In your opinion she should never have sex with her husband?

  • My opinion is that she should take whatever means necessary to prevent a pregnancy and acknowledge that even with these precautions the act of sex leaves open the posibility of pregnancy no matter how minute.

She must weigh the posibility of pregnancy and thus death, with the probability that her birth control efforts will be successful.

I find it irresponsible to engage in sex knowing the tie of the act of sex to reproduction and aborting any children who get in the way.

The original post was in regards to parents letting their children run wild. I agree that this is irresponsible. It is ignorant pretend that it is not irresponsible to make a human being pay for your desires with its life.

As far as abortion failing women:

Abortion has failed women because it has told them that in order to succeed in life they must cast away their reproductive capabilities. When NOW was first confronted with the possiblity of legalized abortion it was with the pretense that employeers could not be expected to be burdened with pregnant and parenting women, and so, in order to enter the work force women must have the option to abort.

Clearly it is unfair to all women to pose such a situation.
