About
Hi, this is my blog for all sorts of pro-life news, statistics, stories, and personal ventings. I am a wife and mother, as well as a nursing student. I I truly believe that abortion has failed women, and will continue to do so as long as it is legal.

Frighteningly fun Halloween

I know alot of people aren't big on Halloween but I like it. I've always had fun, and now that I'm part of Oliver's family it's even better. We had the traditional chili supper and then went out for a night of fright! Holden didn't think much of his costume, so we had to substitute "lego" with "ball room dancer?" but it was still a great night. Here are some pics.

Born alive children don't count?

I am livid. I want to go to every pro-choice person who has ever told me "Don't like Abortion, Don't have one" and slap them in the face. Hard.

Because of abortive women and murderous doctors, children born ALIVE at 22 weeks will not be issued birth certificates. Their lives will not be counted. Why you ask? Because every year in England there are 50 children born alive at 22 weeks after abortions. Of course, these children can not be killed if they are "alive" so they're making it so that NO children born at 22 weeks are considered alive.

Now, several children a year are born at 22 weeks and go on to survive long term, I suppose those will be somehow rectified(I hope!) but for the children that live only hours or days, they will essentially never "exist".

As a mother who went into labor at this time, I would have been inconsolable if Holden's life was negated simply to make murderers feel a bit more warm and fuzzy and avoid prosecution. 300 children a year will be denied their very right to life because other women want to kill their children.

Remember, abortion affects us all, not just the mother who makes the "choice"

Edited to remove extra link and to remove a rude word, I'm sorry I shouldn't sink to that level even in anger.

Why destroy our faith?

I stumbled upon a website last night dedicated to destroying faith. It "scientifically" "proved" that prayer is nothing more than superstition and was illogical blah blah blah. It went on to "prove" that God doesn't exist.

I won't link to that site because I don't think it would be appropriate to do so, but it did make me think. It didn't make me question my faith, but rather made me question why someone would want me to question my faith.

What drives a person to advocate the loss of faith? I understand wanting people to believe in simiar things that they do, but I don't understand taking a person from a place of hope to a place of hopelessness. Now I see Satan standing behind this loud and clear, but I don't understand his methods. How have these people been deceived into thinking that they are helping someone by killing his faith?

I just don't understand. Why do secular humanists want to convert others to their cause? They are evangelizing for damnation, and I just don't understand. What good comes from us joining them? I suppose a downfall of morality is attractive to them, it's just so hard for me to accept.

Pro-life Maternity Clothing

Alright, first let me say that a bit of this clothing is too "hip" for my liking(they bill themselves as "Crazy,Sexy,Cool maternity clothing"), but it also has alot of modest and traditional maternity clothing. I found this site on a search for inexpensive maternity clothing, and it certainly fits that bill. Most of the shirts are under $20 and entire outfits go for about $35!

Well here's the best part. According to their FAQ's:

"We love giving back to the community. Therefore, we donate clothing to a local Pregnancy Center that helps women with pregnancy testing, clothing and baby goods. Read more about them and how they help at: www.friendsofhope.com"

Awesome right? Inexpensive maternity clothing that supports pro-life pregnancy centers! If you are pregnant, or know someone who is, pick up a shirt, just be sure to avoid those maternity belly piercing!

One more thing, I know that some people may be a bit scandalized by the maternity tube tops, I was, but I think the modesty of the majority of their clothing and the fact that they are reaching out to those in crisis pregnancy centers makes up for it.

Shades of Gray?

I'm developing an idea about moral absolutes, but I would like to have the opinions of my readers regarding "Good and Evil" before publishing my final draft.

What are your views on the concepts of Good and Evil? Do you, like Nietzsche go beyond these concepts and meld into a world of circumstance? Do you maintain biblical standards of spiritual war? Is there some actions that are always wrong? Always right? Does Evil exist? Does Good exist? Must they exist together?

What do you think?

Ashamed to be "pro-life"

Blarg. It's infuriating to read the Texas gubernatorial candidates stance on abortion. Bell and Friedman are upfront about their pro-choice stance, but Perry and Strayhorn neatly sidesteps the issue. Strayhorn says she "respects the sanctity of life" but declines to answer all but one of the following questions. She answers the question of rape and incest with "it's a tough decision blah blah blah"

Perry doesn't do much better. Though he has a strong pro-life legacy in our state, and answers most questions in a straightforward way, he evades the question of the overturning of roe v. wade.

The democrats are clear on their shameful positions, why can't republicans stand up for their beliefs?

I need to do more.

I need to do more. I need to go back to the sidewalk, I need to follow my gift for children and help them. I need to do more. My church is not very mission oriented but I feel so deeply called to go out wo the world to help. If anyone knows of any place I can be used tell me.

Jaque-My email has been funky, but I can usually open one email at a time. Email me back with your number(I lost it in my rained-on cell phone) so I can get back in touch with you about Abby.

Never too late to pray in a "threatened miscarriage"

Someone found my blog by searching for "when is it too late to pray in a threatened miscarriage?" My answer is never. My son went from "gone" to "viable" in two days. My cousin had unquestionably lost her last child, yet 3 weeks later was shown to be pregnant with the same child. Unless you have physically passed your child, have hope. Miracles can happen.

That said, if your cervix is open there miscarriage is eminent, however that is not called a threatened miscarriage.

Pray to God, remind Him of His promise that you shall be fruitful and multiply, and have faith. I'll be praying for you as well.

A sad correction.

I'm sorry to report that we were mistaken about our friends pregnancy. It seems now that they did lose their child. Please pray that they will find peace.
