About
Hi, this is my blog for all sorts of pro-life news, statistics, stories, and personal ventings. I am a wife and mother, as well as a nursing student. I I truly believe that abortion has failed women, and will continue to do so as long as it is legal.

Please Pray! URGENT

Please Pray. A tornado touched down at the EXACT location my husband was meeting his boss. I havn't been able to get in touch with either of them. My good friends are also in the direct path of the storm.

PLEASE PRAY.

Edit:

He's safe!
My friends are safe!

Praise God and keep praying, we're not out of the woods yet.

  • Tornadoes are so terrifying -- like earthquakes, only much more frequent. Hope all is well.

I`ve been emaning to comment on yor Biblical women posts, which I greatly enjoyed, but couldn`t think of anything to say. I guess I personally believe that God calls each tndividual in a different, unique way, and so it`s hard to peg a trend. As you know, I was raised (and still am somewhat) Catholic, and I always felt we had a ull array of blessed role models, from the Virgin Mary to Joan of Arc. There is no single way in which women are called to serve -- it depends on the individual. Of course, not everyone who is called understands, or heeds the call. :)

And if you want to want to read about how a pro-life movie was the catalyst for me realizing I was not really pro-life, I`ve blogged about it before:

I`m glad you found a doctor you like, which is so important -- good luck with all that!

  • Thanks L. I'm glad to hear from you!

I mentioned in one of the posts that I do believe women are called to different things, I just focused on the more traditional view of biblical women because it is whatis so often attacked.

I was really hoping you'd comment though, because I thought you would have an interesting take on things.

I'll jet right over to see your post!

  • Hmm. the link doesn't seem to be working.

  • It works when I paste it in my browser -- it`s not a live link, though.

I agree that the Biblical ideal of womanhopod comes under attack, but mostly by people who do not want to conform to it themselves, for whatever reason.

There are many people, of ALL kinds, both feminists and traditionalists, who feel threatened when others say they`re not living right and ought to doing blah blah blah instead. And I know that women say many unkind things about each other -- when my oldest two were babies and I was a SAHM, I was the lone heathen in a MOPS group, and the evangelical Christians said all kinds of horrible things about how working mothers didn`t love their children -- and there I was, planning to go back to work. When I was a working mother, I heard other mothers make condescending comments about SAHMs who "couldn`t take it," and quit to stay home.

It`s everywhere -- all we can do is be true to ourselves, and do what we think is best at each point in our lives, depending on the circumstances we find ourselves in.

  • Thank you Tina. All of my family and friends are safe. Sadly, at least one man died in the storm.
